Robert W. Hostoffer, D.O., Theodore H. Sher, M.D. and Haig Tcheurekdjian, M.D. from Allergy/Immunology Associates Inc. dedicated to helping people who suffer from allergies and hay fever. Drs. Hostoffer, Sher and Tcheurekdjian took over the AMCNO Pollen Line on a volunteer basis and began providing this invaluable service to the community in mid-2008. Drs. Hostoffer, Sher and Tcheurekdjian provide daily pollen counts for our area and preventative methods to help cope with the sniffling and sneezing brought on by the season.
The AMCNO Pollen Line is updated daily at 8 a.m. and used by local news stations, The Plain Dealer and many Cuyahoga County residents who suffer from allergies and hay fever. Just call 216.520.1050 to hear the doctors’ daily report.
Dr. Hostoffer graduated from John Carroll University and received his D.O. in 1985 at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. His post-graduate medical education included a fellowship in pediatric immunology at the University of Alabama. Dr. Hostoffer is certified with the American Board of Allergy and Immunology and has been a distinguished member of the AMCNO since 1993.
Dr. Sher received his Medical Degree from S.U.N.Y. Downstate Medical Center in 1974. His post-graduate medical education included a fellowship in allergy and immunology at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center in New York City. Dr. Sher is certified with the American Board of Allergy and Immunology and has been a distinguished member of the AMCNO since 1982.
Dr. Tcheurekdjian received his M.D. in 2000 from the University of Wisconsin Medical School. His post-graduate medical education included a fellowship in allergy and immunology at Stanford University and the University of California, San Francisco. Dr. Tcheurekdjian is certified with the American Board of Allergy and Immunology and the AMCNO welcomed him as a member in 2008.
The Pollen Line was a service originally initiated as a partnership with the Cleveland Health Museum and Lutheran Medical Center and was conducted for many years by well-known local physicians and longstanding members of the AMCNO.
