AMC/NOMA Lends Support to Medical Liability Rally

The Academy of Medicine/Northern Ohio Medical Association lent their support to patients and physicians at a rally to raise awareness of legislators, the public and the media on the need for medical liability reform in Ohio. The rally was held August 7, 2002 at Lakeview Park North in Lorain Ohio and originally organized by patients of a doctor in Northeast Ohio – Dr. Romeo Diaz - who could not afford his insurance premiums.

Speakers at the rally included AMC/NOMA President, Kevin Geraci, MD, U.S. Senator George V. Voinovich, Ohio Senator Jeffrey Armbruster (R-North Ridgeville), and Dr. Henry Bloom, a member of AMC/NOMA.
