What the AMC/NOMA already does for physicians:
Represents physicians before the Ohio General Assembly, State Medical Board and other state and federal regulatory boards, and formulates legislative strategies and provides testimony before the legislature
Provides strong media relations within the community to keep issues of importance to organized medicine in our region, and, as needed, develops aggressive media campaigns and sessions on key issues
Our Physician Advocacy Committee is a group of physicians that addresses issues related to the media, hospital credentialing, medical liability issues and other matters of critical importance to physicians.
Provides legal counsel, contract and practice review, insurance services, practice promotion tools and investment options
Updates members on developments in the medical community through our magazine, Cleveland Physician, our web site at amcnoma.org, Outlook by fax and regular e-mail blasts
Offers education opportunities and programs, patient referral and peer review
Provides Web site services to members including direct site access to legislators and free site listings
Presentations and discussions are taking place regarding the formation of another physician organization in this community. The AMC/NOMA board of directors does not agree that there is any need for another 501 c 6 organization for physicians. We are not affiliated with this organization. We already have a longstanding history in the community and are well known by the media and public as the first contact when an issue arises of importance to physicians
We strongly urge that physicians and medical staffs spend their time and resources working through an established physician organization – AMC/NOMA has the capacity and capability to advocate on your behalf – we represent you and physicians in the Northeastern Ohio region.
