The Academy of Medicine of Cleveland/Northern Ohio Medical Association (AMC/NOMA) is Northeastern Ohio’s professional Medical Association.

Since its inception in 1824 in Cleveland, organized medicine’s role has been to serve as a voice for physicians – to be relevant to physicians’ needs and to help us advocate on behalf of our patients we took an oath to care for.

What the AMC/NOMA already does for physicians:

Presentations and discussions are taking place regarding the formation of another physician organization in this community. The AMC/NOMA board of directors does not agree that there is any need for another 501 c 6 organization for physicians. We are not affiliated with this organization. We already have a longstanding history in the community and are well known by the media and public as the first contact when an issue arises of importance to physicians

We strongly urge that physicians and medical staffs spend their time and resources working through an established physician organization – AMC/NOMA has the capacity and capability to advocate on your behalf – we represent you and physicians in the Northeastern Ohio region.
