AMC/NOMA Vice President testifies before the House Select Committee on Quality Health Care

On September 17, 2002., Dr. John A. Bastulli, AMC/NOMA Vice President provided testimony to the members of the Select Committee on Quality Health Care chaired by Representative Jolivette.  The Committee came to Cleveland to hear testimony and debate on the issue of medical liability and the need for medical liability reform.  Dr. Bastulli provided the committee with data and information regarding how the liability crisis is affecting physicians across the Northeastern Ohio region.  Dr. Bastulli stressed that there is an urgent need for medical liability reform in Ohio.  Also testifying before the committee was Dr. John Clough from the Cleveland Clinic Foundation and several other physicians from other societies around the state.  The AMC/NOMA will continue to keep the medical liability reform issue in front of the media and the legislature.
