HB166 Introduced

The Coalition for Affordable Prescription Drugs announced Tuesday that the Prescription Drug Fair Pricing Act (HB166) had been introduced in the Ohio House of Representatives by a bi-partisan group of 38 legislators. Chief sponsor of the bill is Rep. Dale Miller (D-Cleveland). Co-sponsors include Republicans Jim Trakas (Independence) and Scott Oelslager (Canton) as well
as all other Democratic members of the Ohio House.   The bill is identical to legislation the coalition is attempting to pass via an initiated law, and for which the coalition circulated a petition late last year that was signed by over 143,000 registered voters. The coalition, representing over five million Ohioans, called for immediate hearings on the bill in the House, and for similar action to take place quickly in the Senate.
