Medicare covers Glaucoma exam

   Glaucoma detection eye exams are now covered by Medicare, effective January 1, 2002.  Medicare will cover an annual dilated eye examination for all people at high risk for Glaucoma.  High risk patients are defined as Medicare beneficiaries with diabetes, a family history of Glaucoma and African Americans aged 50 and older.
