Physicians' help needed to reverse 5.4% Medicare cut

The Bush Administration and your legislators need to hear from physicians to understand that there is national payment crisis in America.  A 20% pay cut during the next four years, to physicians, is projected by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services under the existing law.  The 5.4% reimbursement cut needs to be reversed.  Legislation to help stop severe cuts in Medicare physician payments is gaining bipartisan support with over 330 U.S. representatives and 75 senators supporting adequate funding to fix the problem.  AMC/NOMA encourages you to contact your legislators to support new funding for physician services and reverse the 5.4% across the board Medicare cut.
