Stratton, O'Connor endorsed by Plain Dealer

     The "Cleveland Plain Dealer" recently endorsed Justice Evelyn L. Stratton and Lt. Gov. Maureen O'Connor, both candidates in the Supreme Court races. The Ohio State Bar Association also gave Justice Stratton a "highly recommended" rating for election. According to a recent editorial in the Plain Dealer, Stratton was sited as appearing to "get along with her colleagues," has "proved reluctant to usurp the legislature's turf" and "is a fresh and influential voice."
     O'Connor, current head of the Department of Public Safety, former probate magistrate and Common Pleas judge, was depicted by a Plain Dealer editorial as having "solid grounding in judicial issues" and "understands the realities of what goes on in a courtroom and the real-world impact of what judges decide."
