Academy of Medicine of Cleveland & Northern Ohio’s (AMCNO) Pollen Line Begins for 2008

The AMCNO is pleased to announce that allergist Arthur E Varner, M.D. will be providing the daily pollen counts along with preventative methods to help allergy sufferers cope with the sniffling and sneezing brought on by the season. The AMCNO Pollen Line is now open and providing pollen counts Monday through Friday beginning April 7th. Dr. Varner's report is updated daily, available via a telephone recording and at www.amcnoma.org. This vital community service has been provided to the community for more than 40 years with seasonal reports concerning local allergen levels.

The public can call the hotline at 216-520-1050 to hear Dr. Varner’s recorded report on the density of the allergens, probable effects on those who are sensitive to such agents, and what precautions to take. This year, the Pollen Line will be accessible 24 hours a day Monday through Friday from April 7 through October 1st, with reports recorded by 8 a.m.

In addition, during the week of April 14th Dr. Varner will be the featured guest on the AMCNO acclaimed radio program, Healthlines, airing on WCLV 104.9 FM at 5:45 p.m. Monday, Wednesday and Friday to discuss the Pollen Line.
