AMA HIPAA Complaint Form

The deadline for the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) transaction and code set standards compliance was October 16. The AMA is offering physicians an opportunity to register complaints about health plans, third-party payers, clearinghouses and other entities regarding their lack of compliance with these HIPAA rules and regulations. The new HIPAA complaint form collects information from physicians on health plan and third-party payer non-compliance with the provisions of the HIPAA Transaction and Code Set Standards.
