AMC/NOMA Garners Media Coverage on SB 88

In the weeks following the Ohio Senate passage of SB 88, the AMC/NOMA-backed mandatory arbitration legislation, our organization has relentlessly pursued the matter with local, state and even national print and online publications in an effort to bring media attention to this issue of great importance to NE Ohio physicians. This week, Crain’s Cleveland Business featured a front-page article on the bill, which can be easily accessed at www.crainscleveland.com  and AMC/NOMA physicians, staff, lobbyists and supportive legislators met for an exclusive discussion with the Plain Dealer’s editorial board—look for their coverage on the forum pages soon. Sen. Coughlin’s office is actively working on arranging similar meetings with two additional metro dailies in our area and the nationally-syndicated ADR World online publication is expected to cover the passage and its implications as well this week. More detailed analysis of our media campaign will be covered in the upcoming July/August issue of the Cleveland Physician while a complete timeline of the bill’s progress to date, in-depth analysis and full text of proponent testimonies are available here
