AMC/NOMA Meets with Key Legislative Leadership Regarding SB 88

On Wednesday, July 19th the AMC/NOMA staff and lobbyist met with Senator Kevin Coughlin, Chair of the House Judiciary Committee Representative John Willamowski, staff from the legislative service commission and staff from Speaker Husted’s office to discuss amendments to SB 88 that are to be considered prior to submission to the Ohio House.  It was determined that it would be best to have any amendments made to the bill and then have Senator Coughlin provide sponsor testimony before the House Judiciary Committee.  The House Judiciary Committee will probably not convene again until after the November elections.  It is yet to be determined which House representative will sponsor the bill in the House but this process is also moving forward.  The AMC/NOMA will keep our members apprised of the progress on SB 88 in the House.
