AMCNO and Tri-C To Offer AAPC Coding Program

The American Academy of Professional Coders’ (AAPC) Professional Medical Coding Curriculum will be offered at a discounted rate to AMCNO members beginning February 5 through May 6, 2008 - Tuesday and Thursday nights - 6:00-9:00pm, at Corporate College – East - 4400 Richmond Road, Warrensville Hts., Ohio 44128. The AMCNO discounted rate is $1650.00.

Participants can study for their Certification as a Certified Professional Coder (CPC) through the 81 hour Professional Medical Coding Curriculum (PMCC) by The American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC). Skills acquired will apply to coding jobs in physicians’ offices. At the completion of the course students will be eligible to sit for the Certified Professional Coder (CPC) exam for the CPC-A. Upon successful completion of the exam, those having two years of coding experience will achieve the CPC certification. Those without two years experience will be CPC-Apprentices (CPC-A). One year of experience may be substituted with this course to earn the CPC Credential. Participants in the program must have completed a Medical Terminology/Anatomy and Physiology Course or have a working knowledge of medical terminology.
