AMCNO Annual Meeting Scheduled for April 24, 2009 – Awards and Scholarships to be Given to Area Physicians and Medical Students

The AMCNO Annual Meeting will be held April 24, 2009 beginning at 6 p.m. at The Ritz-Carlton Cleveland. Honorees this year include Drs. Jeffrey L. Ponsky, Delos M. Cosgrove, III, Kevin T. Geraci, Michael T. Gyves, Brian F. Keaton, The Honorable George V. Voinovich, and Mr. George Allen, Jr., (posthumous). Along with the presentation of honors, Anthony E. Bacevice, Jr., MD will be inducted as the 2009-2010 AMCNO President. In addition, AMCNO will present our 50 year awards – these awards are given to AMCNO members that graduated from medical school in 1959. The Academy of Medicine Education Foundation medical student scholarship recipients will also be in attendance at the meeting where the AMEF board will give out $30,000 in scholarship funds to students from Case School of Medicine, Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine and the Ohio University College of Medicine.
