AMCNO Members Asked to Provide Input on E-Prescribing

The AMCNO is taking part in sponsoring this statewide survey. This physician survey is being sent to you from a collaborative group of physicians, pharmacists, hospitals and state agencies in Ohio who are working to address e-prescribing issues in the state.

Committee members include the Academy of Medicine of Cleveland and Northern Ohio (AMCNO), Ohio State Medical Association (OSMA), the Ohio Osteopathic Association (OOA), the Ohio Hospital Association (OHA), the Ohio Academy of Family Physicians (OAFP), the Ohio Pharmacists Association (OPA), the Ohio Department of Health, the Ohio Board of Pharmacy, and numerous individual physicians, pharmacists, pharmacy chains and hospital pharmacists. Other committee members who provide a national perspective are Surescripts and Express Scripts.

The Ohio Health Information Partnership ("the Partnership"), which oversees several federal and state initiatives for EHR implementation and HIE development in Ohio, convened the e-prescribing committee.

The committee feels it is critical that Ohio physicians are involved in the discussion about the adoption and successful implementation of e-prescribing. Therefore, we are asking that you take five minutes to respond to the survey regarding e-prescribing. The link for the survey is the following:

The information being collected will be aggregated and not reported individually. The survey results will be used to make recommendations both at the state and national levels about ways to improve the e-prescribing system. Thank you for your assistance.
