AMCNO provides comments on impact of chronic disease

As a partner in the Ohio chapter of the Partnership to Fight Chronic Disease the Academy of Medicine of Cleveland & Northern Ohio (AMCNO) has submitted a letter outlining the impact of chronic disease on our health care system to the Democratic and Republican National Committee party platforms. PFCD partners across the state provided transcripts of testimony or letters to the campaigns in an effort to educate the parties with regard to the need to address the treatment of chronic disease as a part of the national health care agenda. Some of the other PFCD partners from the Northern Ohio area that provided testimony or comments were the Cleveland Clinic Foundation and the Cuyahoga County Board of Health. A copy of the AMCNO letter will be included in the upcoming issue of the Northern Ohio Physician magazine.
