ATTENTION AMCNO MEMBERS: Only One More Day Left to Fill in and Return the OHIP Survey Regarding the EHR Financial Incentive Program – final deadline for filling out the survey is June 22, 2010

If your practice or hospital is considering taking advantage of the financial incentives being offered by Medicare and Medicaid to reward early adoption of electronic health records (EHRs), then completing this survey is an important first step.

The survey is being conducted by the Ohio Health Information Partnership (OHIP) and its regional partners. OHIP is the non-profit entity that has been designated by the state to advance the adoption, implementation, and meaningful use of Health Information Technology (HIT) among health care providers in Ohio.

This survey is supported by the Ohio State Medical Association, the Ohio Osteopathic Association, the Ohio Hospital Association, the Ohio Academy of Family Physicians, the Ohio Society of the American Academy of Pediatricians, Ohio Section of the American College of OB-GYN, the Ohio Chapter of the American College of Physicians and the Academy of Medicine of Cleveland and Northern Ohio.

Your responses to this survey will help OHIP and its partners identify and provide the types of health care IT assistance that your practice may need in order to qualify for federally-funded incentive payments and achieve “meaningful use” of an EHR.

The survey is on-line and can be accessed by going to the address below. Just type it into your internet browser and you are ready to go.

For your convenience, the survey link is included below. However, the survey should only be completed by one person in your organization, whether it is a physician office, hospital, or other facility. If you use the link below to complete the survey, please double-check to make certain that you aren’t also completing the survey you received in a separate fax or email.

Due to time constraints, your response must be received no later than 5 pm on JUNE 22nd. If you have questions, please email: info@ohiponline.org
