As a reminder, beginning on Monday January 3, 2011, eligible professionals,
eligible hospitals, and critical access hospitals can register for the Medicare
and Medicaid Electronic Health Records Incentive Programs. As previously noted
in AMCNO publications and EHR presentations, under the Medicare program, both
hospitals and office-based providers must use a certified EHR system in
accordance with CMS meaningful use guidelines for 90 consecutive days within the
first year of the program to qualify for reimbursements under the American
Recovery and Reinvestment Act’s incentive programs. More information on the
