Ohio State Senate President Bill Harris announced Thursday that Sen. Kevin Coughlin (R-Cuyahoga Falls) will replace Sen. Lynn Wachtmann (R-Napoleon) as chair of the chamber's Health, Human Services & Aging Committee. Harris said the appointment of Coughlin was attributable to the "leadership he's already shown as the chairman of the State and Local Government and Veterans' Affairs Committee for the past two legislative sessions." Sen. Coughlin sponsored the AMC/NOMA-supported mandatory arbitration legislation (SB 88) earlier this year. The AMC/NOMA will continue to work with the Senator in his new chairmanship capacity.
