Electronic Marketing Strives to Make Prescriptions Easier to Fill

In an effort to make drug prescriptions easier to convey, electronic information systems will assist doctors. ProxyMed and AdvancePCS are working to create an e-prescribing application that will allow physicians to electronically transmit new prescriptions and authorize drug refills using AdvancePCS' technology. An agreement in progress between SureScripts and Axolotl will allow Axolotl's physician members to exchange prescription information with pharmacists using Surescripts' electronic prescribing network.
