Last week a new Web site providing information and updates specific to pandemic and avian influenza was launched at http://www.pandemicflu.gov/ It includes health and safety information for health professionals as well as full text of the national strategy for pandemic influenza and several research links related to vaccine and drug development. In addition, the site contains update links on monitoring outbreaks with surveillance techniques specific to both the United States and on an international scale.
