House Bill 138, sponsored by State Representative Geoff Smith ( R - Columbus), will permit an organization comprised exclusively of members who are either health care providers or insurance agents to sponsor a small employer health care alliance program for the members benefit. This bill was heard in the House Insurance Committee on April 29, 2003 and the bill was substituted to make a technical change. The AMC/NOMA will continue to monitor this bill in the future.
