Managing Medicare Expectations Workshop

For Physicians, Non-Physician Practitioners, Compliance Officers, Billing and Coding staff

University Hospitals Faculty Services (UHFS) and the Academy of Medicine of Cleveland/Northern Ohio Medical Association (AMC/NOMA) invite you to attend a workshop addressing Evaluation/Management (E/M) documentation guidelines, medical necessity, use of modifier 25, Teaching Physician documentation requirements and much more! You may select to attend any/all of the (4) sessions over the span of two days and can receive CMEs or CEUs, as appropriate. This event is presented by PalmettoGBA (Ohio’s Medicare Carrier) staff.

Wednesday, July 12th & Thursday, July 13th 2006- ALL SESSIONS WILL BE HELD AT UNIVERSITY HOSPITALS OF CLEVELAND CAMPUS.

Session A: E/M For Physicians and Non-Physician Practitioners – Provides in-depth understanding of E/M documentation requirements, review examples, and error data for various specialties! 

Wed. July 12th or Thurs. July 13th at 11:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. (Wolstein Auditorium)
Session B: Lunch and More: E/M Practicum – A highly interactive session for review of documentation samples in selecting various levels and types of E/M services!

Wed. July 12th at 5:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. or Thurs. July 13th at 7:30 a.m. - 9:30 a.m.

Session C: M.M.I.T. – In depth discussion of medical necessity, use of 25 modifier, “Incident-to”, teaching physician documentation requirements and much more!

Session D: Hot on the Spot – Overview of latest Medicare changes, hot issues and reminders!
