Mini-Internship Program Builds Bridges, Understanding |

The AMC/NOMA will celebrate our 22nd Annual Mini-Internship program in 2006, a successful project that year after year links our profession with the community and builds understanding. The program is designed to provide laypersons with a brief but extensive experience of a physician’s day. In the past, "interns" have included elected officials, news media, health care coalitions, law, clergy, education and consumer advocate groups. The AMC/NOMA would like to invite you to serve as a physician "faculty" member for our 2006 Mini-Internship Program. This program is scheduled to take place on October 30 and 31, 2006. During the program, an intern will shadow you, either in the morning or in the afternoon according to your availability. We have asked them to participate both available days: October 30 and 31, 2006. Your commitment is for one-half day only with one intern. The AMC/NOMA will be responsible for selecting physician volunteers in a variety of SPECIALTIES AND the coordinating of schedules. To sign up and receive more information, please call Linda Hale 520-1000, ext. 309. |
