The Akron Beacon Journal looks at several area hospitals' efforts to move from paper to electronic patient data. Akron General Medical Center, for example, is equipping 26 physicians with wireless, tablet-style computers that can access lab results, clinical guidelines and drug reference material through a secure Web site.
