Ohio House Healthcare Access and Affordability Committee to meet in Cleveland – Chairman Raussen to appear on AMCNO Healthlines radio program

On July 30th the Ohio House Healthcare Access and Affordability Committee and the Ohio Senate Health, Human Services and Aging Committee will conduct a joint field hearing. The hearing is to be held in the L. Jon Schurmier Bldg., Southwest General Health Center from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. Among the objectives of the committee are to evaluate current healthcare trends, looks at ways other states are addressing the issues of healthcare reform, and analyze Ohio’s existing healthcare system along with creating reforms that are achievable in Ohio that focus on access, transparency, cost savings, improving efficiency, and increasing healthy decisions by all Ohioans. AMCNO physician leadership will testify at this hearing. Any AMCNO member interested in testifying should contact the AMCNO offices.

In addition, the AMCNO is pleased to have the Chairman of the House Healthcare Access committee conduct an interview on the AMCNO award-winning Healthlines radio program. Rep. Raussen, the committee chair, will discuss the purpose of the committee as well as provide insight into concepts and ideas that have been provided to the committee in previous testimony. The program will air the week following the hearing here in Cleveland.
