Physician Comment Requested on Health IT & Exchange in Ohio

Several months ago the Health Policy Institute of Ohio (HPIO) received a federal contract for the Health Information Security and Privacy Collaboration (HISPC). The focus of the contract is to identify business practices and legal barriers that affect health information exchange in Ohio and then develop solutions and implementation strategies to overcome them. HPIO is seeking input from health plans, providers, employers, government, and consumers. Participate in this work by reviewing the 18 scenarios [ http://hispc.pbwiki.com/Scenarios ]  and data collected in response by the Variations and Legal Working Groups. Your feedback is a critical component of the HISPC project. Comments on the 18 scenarios and data already collected can be made by following the instructions given at the top of the Web page. Your findings will serve as the foundation for the launch of the Ohio HIT Roadmap for establishing statewide connectivity, as well as identifying key health information privacy and security issues for the HISPC project. The deadline for all submissions is September 25.
