Physicians to receive a 3% Medicaid reimbursement increase beginning in July 2008

Although Governor Strickland recently announced myriad cuts to the state budget, these cuts did not include physician reimbursement under the Medicaid program. Instead Governor Strickland has announced that physicians in Ohio who are treating Medicaid patients will see a reimbursement increase of 3% beginning in July of 2008. The increase only applies to physicians and other community healthcare providers. The AMCNO applauds the Strickland administration for this decision.
