QualChoice Members Transferred to Anthem

This week the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services’ staff will conclude six months of work in response to the sale of QualChoice to Anthem Blue Cross & Blue Shield Partnership Plan, Inc. in Cuyahoga and Lorain counties in Northeast Ohio. About 67,000 Medicaid consumers will have their health care coverage transferred to Anthem effective September 1. This transfer should be seamless to these consumers as they will continue to have access to the same providers and have their medical records transferred to ensure continuity of care.
