Seniors Confused About Medicare Laws

A Kaiser Family Foundation survey, shows that seniors are generally confused about the outcome of the Medicare prescription drug debate and prescription drug law. According to the survey 15% say they understand the law "very well', 24% say they understand it "somewhat well", and 60% of the seniors say that they understand it "not to well" or "not well at all". Although the law was passed and signed by the president, more that 68%, about two thirds, said they did not know that it passed. 41% say they did not know whether it passed or not. Confusion about the law has led to an unfavorable impression toward the law. Other seniors say they have no impression of the new law because they do not understand it.
