Specialty Hospital Hearing Dates Set by Health Dept.

The Taft Administration has scheduled three public hearings to field comments on the impact that the expiration of the federal moratorium on specialty hospitals will have on the state’s hospital system. The hearings are designed to gather input from health care providers and other stakeholders. "To ensure that all Ohioans have access to quality healthcare, we need to fully understand how the end of the federal moratorium will impact our community-based hospitals and the individuals they each serve," Governor Bob Taft said in a statement announcing the meetings. "These public forums will give hospital administrators, health care providers and consumers the opportunity to identify potential issues and suggest changes in policy to address the challenges facing Ohio’s hospital system." The hearings, to be held in the 8th Floor Conference Room, 246 N. High St., Columbus, are set for:

Sept. 18 10 a.m.

Sept. 27 10 a.m.

Oct. 6 2 p.m.
