Stroke Symposium to Offer Treatment, Prevention Strategies

The first annual Center for Neurosciences Stroke Symposium will take place Wednesday, November 30, offering physicians an opportunity to learn and discuss rapid referral for the stroke patient, guidelines and protocols for thrombolytic therapy, patient recovery methods and secondary prevention. Presented by University Hospitals Health System in cooperation with the American Stroke Association, the event is sponsored by Case, which designates this educational activity for a maximum of 6.5 CME credits. AMC/NOMA Past President Ronald Savrin MD has been very active with the local chapter of the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association, specifically a group known as Operation Stroke. He encourages our members to consider attending this day-long event where AMC/NOMA physicians Dr. Anthony Furlan, Dr. Dennis Landis and Dr. Cathy Sila will present.
