| Ninety-five percent of physicians use online search engines to find medical information, according to a recent survey by Manhattan Research. According to the survey, 99% of physicians surveyed use the Internet, and 90% said they have a high-speed connection at home or work. Seventy-six percent of respondents said they go online to access blogs, webcasts, streaming video and podcasts. In addition, 52% said they uses PDAs, smart phones or other mobile computing devices. The survey also found that 22% of respondents used the Internet during patient consultations. Results came from a telephone survey of 1250 practicing physicians across the country.
